Gianni Rodari

Gianni Rodari (1920 - 1980) was an Italian writer and journalist, most famous for his books for children.

He published his first book in 1951 and since then he completely dedicated himself to the children. He is perhaps best known for "Il romanzo di Cipollino" (“The adventures of the little onion”, 1951) and "La freccia azzurra" (“The blue arrow”, 1954). He won the Hans Christian Andersen Award in 1970 and is considered by many to be Italy's most important twentieth-century children's author.

Botime Pegi have published in Albanian "Kopshti zoologjik i përrallave" ("The zoo of the fairytales") and will be soon publishing the famous "Shigjeta e kaltër" ("The blue arrow").
